Source Material: 3DR Written Values Process Discussion

Video recording discussing the creation experience of writing the values using a garden metaphor:

I was inspired to see if I could connect to the spirit of the business for 3DR and see if there was some help to begin creating the values in the verbiage of a garden metaphor.  We had been discussing values, the garden metaphor itself, and I had previously contributed to an in person discussion through the use of automatic writing.  This made sense to both of us when it was suggested.

I submitted the document for review the same day that the action was agreed to.  The following day, Fairin Woods and myself discussed the document, however it was through the lens of the process of creation and what the process could reveal not the content of the document or the words written.

As we discussed the process, it became clear that the values were being demonstrated as they were transcribed into a document format.  The biggest awareness gift from the reflection was thinking about the creation of the document and the interruptions or distractions that were happening during the time that I was focusing to create it.  I didn’t start it as soon as I had hoped, and I had three people reach out to me through the creation process who were asking for support or sharing their news with me.  I realized the next day to stop the self-judgment as this was the embodiment of family/community first by being present with these community members in their time of support.  That these were not actually distractions but part of being present and in the flow of creation.
